North Shore Kart Club would like to advise all our members of the resignation of our President, Iain Thornton.
Iain has been a valued committee member to our club in the 6 years that he has been on the committee.
Steve Parsons has now taken on the role of President with Peter Galvin replacing him as Vice President whilst Troy Hunt is our new Club Captain.
We look forward to all working together as a great committee for all our members.
Please refer to the "contact us" link for more committee member details.

Congratulations to all our members that represented our Club overseas
Over the weekend of November 25th-27th 11 drivers from Australia took on the worlds best to compete in the 2011 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final at the Al Ain Raceway in the United Arab Emirates. Congratulations to Joseph Mawson who finished on the podium to get 2nd in the Junior Max Catergory, and Pierce Lehane for his great driving to be running in 4th place in the early stages of the race before being involved in an incident to finish 15th.
Along with the 2 Junior drivers we also had Brent Coghlan represent NSKC and his country. In what was an outstanding achievement for Brent who managed to finish 5th in a truly world class field that featured no less than 8 former world champions! Brent is our first senior driver to represent at such a high level (DD2 Masters). He showed that great Aussie spirit to fight his way back after a DNF in one of his heat races. Brent's drive in the final was nothing short of amazing and he was unlucky not to snare a podium.
Well done to Aaron Borg who raced in the All Japan SL Championships (Clubman). Aaron did very well to come to grips with the changing conditions he was faced with, unfortunatly for Aaron his final race didn't go to plan but as he said "that's racing".
David Kermond travelled to the USA to compete in the huge event called the Super Nationals, this event takes place in Vegas and is something to behold as the organisers turn a car park into a kart racing circuit. David gained valuable experience from his trip and we hope he returns next year to cash in what he learnt.
This is a great sign that our club members are not only successful at the State & National level but now the International level as well.

A big Thank You and congratulations to these drivers from everyone at NSKC.........

Congratulations to all our club members who travelled to S.A. to attend the S.A. Open Sprint Kart Championships at the Monarto Karting Complex on 25th -27th November, 2011

North Shore Kart Club was formed in 1993.

The intention of its founders was to promote karting in the Sydney metropolitan area by building a karting facility close to the population centre. Within a couple of years this had been realised, through a commercial facility built at Eastern Creek.

Soon after it was completed, North Shore Kart Club commenced using the Eastern Creek facility for monthly race meetings. The combination of an arrive-and-drive commercial facility incorporating a kart shop, 7 day a week 2-stroke practice and regular 2-stroke race meetings in the centre of the metropolitan area saw a large number of new karters join the sport.
